birthday gifts

Absolutely fantastic service from Yabulela. I was arranging an 80th birthday gift for my mother in George from London, and they put together a beautiful bespoke hamper that was exactly what I was looking for. The whole experience was personal, helpful and incredibly efficient, and delivery was prompt and exactly as arranged.

The hamper itself was superb and made a very special birthday gift. I couldn’t have asked for better service and would wholeheartedly recommend Yabulela to anyone looking for a thoughtful, beautifully presented gift in South Africa. Five stars!

For a special occasion, I used the services of Yabulela Gift Hampers. Everything was perfect: quick responses, attentive to my requests, very thoughtful suggestions, and personalized support (thank you, Karen)—it was all very efficient and friendly. The final product was beautiful, met my expectations, and delighted the recipient!
I should mention that I live in France. I therefore highly recommend Yabulela Gift Hampers if, like me, you want to have a high-quality, personalized gift delivered from a great distance. You can order with complete confidence—truly.
Thanks again…

Communication was great as well as the quality of the hamper. Highly recommended

I placed an order with Yabulela for a gift hamper for my manager, who experienced the loss of her mum. Karen was especially helpful prior to and during my entire purchasing experience. I had sent her an email to extra clarify questions etc and she gladly assisted in the absolutely kindest way. She even sent pictures prior to delivery and ensured delivery was done quickly and efficiently. Would definitely buy again from here. Thank you, Karen, for your exceptional service.

I won the most incredible hamper prepared by Yabulela. Firstly, the packaging was insanely amazing, with the most incredible handmade bow surrounding the large box. Next, as you unpeeled the layers were amazing touches like heart stickers and beautiful wrapping paper. The main course was the simply stunning selection of treats and snacks – just Wow all round!

Good service and very quick to propose alternative if first choice not aviaible.

Great service and the recipients appreciated the quality and content of the hamper

Hi Karen

Amazingly, the beautiful gift hamper headed to Prince Albert has arrived! Christopher and John were delighted to find it at their door this morning. I want to share with you their thank-you note:

“ Both John and I were completely flabbergasted by your twenty-one amazing and bountiful gifts, which we have calculated may very well last us into our nineties. When I opened the beautiful box, adorned with the most incredibly extravagant bow, it quite took my breath away. Inside were so many delightful surprises and mouthwatering treats that I could hardly believe what I was seeing.”

Thank you, Karen, to you and your team for making this gift possible, and for helping my dear friends celebrate this birthday in a special way.

With sincerest thanks, and warm regards, Mary Lynne Knill

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Karen is incredible! When I send a gift, it has to be special. I do a lot of research looking for a unique online gift provider. I found this immediately with Karen and Yabulela Gift Hampers. Customer service, communications, quality of hamper (personalised), regular updates, seamless international payment process – honestly you cannot go wrong with Karen. I just wish I had more friends in South Africa to gift her hampers to. Thank you Karen!

Such an easy way to order, thank you to Karen and her team for the way you helped me with putting a gift together, delivered on time and the gift looked beautiful, not to mention how reasonable your costs were.
I will use your company regularly, you made gifting such a painless process.
The girls were thrilled with the gifts they received.
Thank you so much.

Hello Karen,

Thank you so much for all of your help. It is not simple to order gifts to South Africa which are both special enough and kosher, for people who are important to our organization. You made ordering and delivery straightforward, and the feedback regarding delivery assured us all was on its way, or received, which is especially reassuring. Thank you!

I was super happy with your service and want to thank you for arranging a lovely gift hamper for my son.
It was delivered on time.
My son was very happy with the content and the way the gift was presented / wrapped.
I will most certainly use your company again and will recommend to people i know.

Thank you again
Betty de Comarmond

Many kind thanks Karen for your professionalism, assistance, and efficiency.

Much appreciated.

Best, Faizel

Yabulela were superb! They delivered client hampers, beautifully presented and with a delicious selection, despite a very tight deadline and over the busiest time. Karen Carstens’ service and attention to detail was just fantastic. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Yabulela!

I needed to order some gift hampers for overseas colleagues for my company and came across Yabulela during my search. They have a variety of options, which is great! In particular, they have hampers to cater to different dietary requirements such as halal baskets which was exactly what we were looking for. Not to mention, the pictures of the prepared hampers looked beautiful and the price was reasonable. When I made the order, there was a little mix-up with the names and addresses. I was able to contact the team at Yabulela via Whatsapp. Karen responded quickly and was so helpful. She also provided updates on the hampers and the delivery. She was such a great support in ensuring that our colleagues would receive their hampers with little to no issues. Our colleagues love the hampers and we couldn’t be more satisfied. Highly highly recommend Yabulela Gift Hampers!

Thoughtful. Willing to go the extra mile. Value for money. Considerate. Utterly impressed with all my interactions with Karen at Yabulela. I genuinely wish all such dealings would be as pleasant and straightforward – cannot think of further words without beginning to sound trite. Five stars are not anywhere sufficient to truly recognise and appreciate her efforts. Anyone reading this review should stop looking elsewhere and proceed directly to the Yabulela website. Thank you Karen.

Ordered the Festive Family Hamper from the UK for family in the Strand to celebrate the arrival of their baby boy. Using Yabulela’s website was easy to order & make payment plus the communication was 5 stars. I would highly recommend using them for hampers and I would use again. Thank you Yanulela!

Extremely responsive and caring company. Helped us get a hamper out in a timely manner. The receivers of the hampers were delighted with the gift and its packaging. I recommend this company.

Glowing Review for Karen at Yabulela Gift Hampers

I had the absolute pleasure of speaking to Karen from Yabulela Gift Hampers, and I cannot recommend her services enough! From our very first conversation, she was incredibly professional, kind, and attentive to every detail. She perfectly executed the gift I ordered with 100% accuracy, and I could genuinely feel the love and care that went into the packaging.

Karen’s dedication to delivering a high-quality experience truly stood out, and it made the entire process a delight. I highly recommend Yabulela Gift Hampers for anyone looking for a thoughtful and beautifully crafted gift. You won’t be disappointed!

Great service, great gifts. Happy with my two purchases. Would recommend.

We ordered a hamper to say thank you to the 4 carers who have looked after my mother through critical illnesses. We were immediately contacted with suggestions on how the hamper could be changed so that all 4 had a fabulous choice and all got mugs, candles, etc. Personal, empathic, and beautiful service. Very rare nowadays and enormously appreciated.

This was the second time this month we have used Yabulela to send gifts to family in SA and it has been an absolute pleasure to have worked with Karen again. From the excellent communication, top quality gift selection, exquisite presentation and attention to detail, to accommodating my unusual request – everything was seamless and done with great care. Thank you so much Karen and team!

I am hopeless at shopping but this was a fabulous experience. Yabulela takes away all the stress of shopping and not knowing what to buy. A few Whatsapps, Karen has incredible ideas, patience and such a warm personality. Incredibly professional, the gift arrived fast, looked magnificent and was a great success on the day. I would recommend her any day and I will certainly use Yabulela again. Nothing was too much trouble and it easy and fun! Well done Yabulela!

I love supporting local business, but what I love more is when the whole process is easy, customer service is excellent, and the gift delivered on time, with updates along the way. Beautifully presented too! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Yabulela Gift Hampers and will definitely be using them again.

Dear Karen
Thank you so much, Georgia was so touched and delighted with her beautiful parcel !!!
Your service is impeccable and the product is beautiful 😍
Thank you again, I shall certainly recommend Yabulela Gift Hampers 🎁 to all xxxx

Dianne

This is one of the best gift shops in Capetown South Africa. I had a very wonderful experience getting the perfect gift from Yabuela Gift Store. The process was hustle free, transparent, quick and straight forward. I got a gift for someone in SA while I was in Australia and Karen got the job done including delivering the gift.

From start to Finish, professional, their service impeccable and a superb range which you can personalise. A great gifting experience 😁

Great service and communication around my delivery. While I didn’t see the final hamper myself, I received a very grateful message from my colleague.

This is the first time I’ve used Yabulela and it certainly won’t be the last. I’m so impressed with the service and communication, as well as the choice of hamper and decorations. Highly recommend using Yabulela to celebrate an occasion with a special person.

THANK YOU!

I know that I’m really late – life got in the way of writing to you Karen!

Taking a moment now to thank you sincerely for the GORGEOUS gift hamper that you arranged for Rosh Hashanah – it was delivered as requested (which involved scheduling a specific date), my note personalised included and our recipient was thrilled beyond to receive the beautiful surprise.

I personally really appreciate the extra mile you go to – keeping me informed and even sending me a pic of the wrapped gift hamper. We will definitely be using your services again and will recommend your company to all my buds.

Having tried various gift and flower shops in SA to have something special delivered to loved ones (I live in the UK) and not always getting the best results, I finally found Karen. I’ve used her twice already and both times she exceeded my expectations! The quality of the product and customer service is outstanding and I will not hesitate to use her again. Definitely recommend!!!

All-in-all a wonderful, personal and stress free experience. Very professional and exceptional attention to detail. Karen, you’re a truly wonderful person to work with! Supporting your business all the way from Namibia 🇳🇦 ❤️

From the moment Karen answered my phone call, I knew I was talking to a person who cares about her clients needs. After a couple of questions, yes and no’s, she knew what I wanted. I will definitely call again. She made our gift to a colleague, 850km from us, personal. It was a warm, well thought out and well-presented gift. Thank you Karen for being there for our friend and colleague when we couldn’t.

An outstanding service, a complete make of personalise gift all the way to the details of the ribbon and bows. With a complete amazing selection of products. A full on attention to detail and to the needs of the customer, I have never been taken care of my gifts request from a diferent continent in this high level of professionalism. Thank you again and again Yabulela Gift Hampers 💛

Professional from start to finish! Easy to navigate the site, follow up to make sure my details were correct, an exquisitely wrapped present delivered on time to a surprised and delighted birthday dad (who is convinced the gift wrapper has a master’s degree in gift wrapping), and beautiful quality products! Thank you so much for helping my brother and me to make our dad’s day super special from across the ocean! Such a brilliant experience; I will definitely recommend and use this company again! 💜

Karen is amazing! From the outset, her excellent communication, attention to detail, genuine care & willingness to make the best celebratory hamper possible, made ordering from overseas an easy and lovely experience. The result was absolutely wonderful! Will definitely be back!
– Very Happy International Client

Thank you Karen for listening and providing a really special present for my friend. She absolutely loved it and the whole process was fun – imagining it with you through to the delivery on time and much appreciated 🙂

Professional expertise with a personal touch. Karen helped me arrange gift hampers for 3 fiftieth anniversary couples. I was given options to choose from – taking my requests into consideration, payment was trouble free (I’ve had serious issues before trying to make payments to SA), Karen kept my up to date with progress and delivery and sent me pictures of the finished product. Do not hesitate to contact Yabulela if you wish to spoil your loved ones with a unique, personal gift.

Exceptional service 5* Karen went out of her way to assist with a double payment issue (Thank you!) My niece absolutely LOVED her treat – THANK YOU. I will certainly be using your services again … all the way from the UK 🙂

Dear Karen

Herewith my sincere thanks for the exquisite gift hamper that Yabulela recently made up for me. The quality of the products included, and final presentation of the gift hamper was of an exceptional standard. I highly recommend Yabulela to anyone wanting to impress and spoil someone special with a beautiful gift. The recipient thoroughly appreciated and enjoyed the contents of the hamper, as well as the beautiful wrapping.

Yours sincerely Adrie

Hi Karen

Your parcel was very well received and the recipient was thrilled with the contents. She commented on the good quality mug and the beautiful packaging. Thank you so much, the entire process was really easy from start to finish. Much appreciated and great job.

The star review above isn’t really accurate. It should be 100/5 stars! It was really a blessing to buy a gift and then to see how the talented giftologist transformed something plain into a work of art. Without Karen’s (the giftologist) help, I really think this gift wouldn’t have been so special. The service was quick and extremely friendly. I’m not the most decorative person on earth, and thus I know that I will definitely be making use of Karen’s beautiful skills in the future. I think that even those who are creative can catch a few tips from her. I will definitely recommend Yabulela Gift Hampers. The service was friendly, professional, and prompt. I haven’t seen so much love and effort put into a gift hamper (or anything that can be bought or ordered online) in many years. It’s worth all the money, and so much more! Thank you Karen and Yabulela!

I was delighted with my experience at Yabulela. Karen was my giftologist and she listened attentively to the complex nature of the gift I needed to send, then helped me come up with the perfect, unique, and personalised solution. I would truly recommend Yabulela for their attention to detail and exceptional customer care. I was also sent a photo of the gift selection and the wrapped gift before it was sent. Absolutely five-star service from this brilliant little company! I’ll choose them again every time.

We wanted to send a client a flat warming kosher gift basket and came across this website and contacted Karen. Karen customised the basket and packaged beautifully incorporating our company colours. Our client was so delighted with the gift basket, his wording was “what an incredible and amazing gift” A rare find to get quality service like we received.

Karen was fabulous. She helped come up with ideas for gifts. Got the parcel off the next day (due to the time difference, we did the initial organizing when she was about to go to bed). The gift was delivered very promptly and arrived well before the date. I would highly recommend Karen. Thanks so much

I can honestly say that this is the best service I have ever received. Karen was so caring and efficient, putting a lot of thought and effort into sourcing the perfect content for my gift, and keeping me updated throughout. A very big thank you!

A HUGE thank you to Karen at Yabulela 💐 I had first-class service the whole way thru the process. From helping me put the gift hamper together, where there was so much effort put into making the contents very personal for my friend, to the delivery, which was specially delivered in the evening to make sure it arrived before morning. My friend was so thrilled with the presentation (& the contents) that I can say that it was a pleasure to use Yabulela Gift Hampers & will use them again without a doubt. 🌺

Truly wonderful gift hampers. Beautifully presented and thoughtfully curated. We have been the lucky recipients of two Yabulela hampers in the past so when we needed a thank you gift we knew just where to look. The family we sent it to was delighted with the hamper and we were delighted with Yabulela’s service. I can highly recommend them.

Professional from start to finish, Karen worked around a 9-hour time difference and email chain to assemble a wonderful custom package for our relatives in the Cape Town area. To say she went above and beyond is an understatement. We’ve attempted to send packages from overseas before, with little success, but the local option proved otherwise and Yabulela Gift Hampers will be the obvious choice, going forward. Thanks for allowing us to send Christmas cheer from the Great White North!

It has been an absolute delight to work with Yabulela. Karen was so accommodating and helpful, especially impressive given the Christmas rush! The basket is stunning and filled with delicious, locally sourced goodies for our client in Cape Town. Communication was excellent from the first email to delivery confirmation. I’m so glad to have found somewhere that really understands and takes pride in the personal touches that make gifts so special. Thank you so much Karen for making this such a seamless and enjoyable experience.

I was so pleased to find Yabulela Gift Hampers when wanting to send my family some gifts to lift their spirits after the year 2020 has been. Normally sending something from the UK is a long process and in my experience goes missing. After reading Yabulela’s reviews I decided to give them a try. I’m so glad I did! The service from Karen was second to none! Her communication was outstanding, she kept me informed each step of the way. Both gifts arrived safely and within a very good time. My family was very touched by how beautiful the gifts were presented. I can’t recommend Yabulela enough! I will certainly be using their services again! A huge Thank You to Karen and everyone at Yabulela Gift Hampers for such outstanding service and for enabling me to send some Love to my Family X

Sending my family a gift from abroad was a really easy and delightful experience through Yabulela. Karen was super helpful, responded to questions quickly and in a friendly manner, and ensured the process was trouble-free. The gift arrived on time and the family is happy. Beautifully wrapped as well. Thanks, Karen & Yabulela!

Great service and products. The gourmet hamper I ordered was exactly what I wanted and delivered in time. It was a pleasure to work with Karen.

Hi Karen Thank you for keeping us in the loop all the way. Excellent service, we will definitely use your company again, and recommend you to our friends. I wish other companies understood the word “Service” as well as yours. Regards John Hibbert

Thank you, Karen. Beautiful presentation and I really appreciate the effort to deliver the hamper yesterday. It certainly cheered Lauren up as she is so far from home at the moment. She had her coffee this morning in the lovely mug and sent me a photo! Best wishes, Marise

Hello Karen I cannot thank you enough for the amazing service and the stunning gift that you put together. It is just gorgeous! She is elated and that makes us so happy. Thank you, Karen, and your team. You went out of your way to get a parcel packaged and out the door in a very short time for a special person’s birthday. Excellent communication. A very nice touch was to send me the photos of the content and wrapped parcel. Gorgeous!

Karen was so helpful in setting up different gift hampers for family members all over South Africa. She made organizing everything from overseas a breeze! I will definitely be using her again and referring her for any gifts in the future.

It was a privilege dealing with Karen of Yabulela Gift Hampers. I received the most unbelievable, personalized service from start to finish and was thrilled with the hamper ordered, its exquisite presentation, and the overall experience. Karen is the most delightful, obliging person. She went above and beyond, with care and kindness, to make sure the gift was perfect. Both I, as well as the recipient, were overjoyed with the final product! Despite many calls and requests, nothing was too much trouble. She took the time to understand the personality of the recipient and made numerous suggestions in order to create the ultimate gift. She paid great attention to detail. Karen’s communication was excellent – she kept me informed every step of the way and sent me photos so I knew exactly what would be sent. Karen is meticulous, professional, and reliable. I cannot recommend her highly enough and look forward to ordering many more gifts from her!

Yabulela Gift Hampers prepared a stunning package for my Mum’s 80th birthday! Ordered from Perth, Australia, and delivered to her home in Somerset West. I highly recommend this service.

This gift was a belated birthday gift for my sister who is also an essential medical worker. I was so happy and extremely satisfied with how efficient Yabulela Gift Hampers and Karen were with my order especially as I do live overseas. Thank you, Karen, my sister was delighted with her Care Hamper.

“I cannot begin to thank Karen enough for helping me organise my mom’s special Mother’s day gift hamper! Karen is so professional, efficient, passionate, incredibly kind, and patient with a “nothing is too much trouble” attitude. Even though she had to work within the constraints of lockdown, she made sure that the hamper of goodies was so stunning and, of course, full of delicious treats. My mom was ecstatic when she received her beautiful gift of treats, so if you want to spoil someone special in your life, the only person to use is Karen from Yabulela Gift Hampers!”

Thank you, Karen and your team. You guys did a phenomenal job with the gift I ordered. It was everything I had expected and more. My nephew enjoyed the gift tremendously. I will definitely use you to order again♥️

What a joy to work with Karen in putting together a wedding present and having it so beautifully and effortlessly delivered. Feedback from the recipient: Could not miss the gift it was wrapped sooooo beautifully! What a huge spoil and it was so much fun opening it!

Your service was just outstanding! Thank you again for the quick assistance you provided me in December last year.

Excellent service, and always willing to go the extra mile. Yabulela is my go-to gifting place.

Excellent service, stunning gifts wrapped beautifully and every client called to say how gorgeous the presentation was!

Outstanding business and their gift hampers are stunning. I have always had problems ordering birthday hampers for my mum being outside of the country, but Karen at Yabulela Gift Hampers was brilliant. Karen helped me create a customised gift hamper based on my preferences and budget, sent an invoice with clear overseas banking details, and then sent images of the completed gift hamper ready for delivery. Can’t wait for my mum to receive and open – and what a breath of fresh air for customer service and experience.

Highly recommend Karen and her team. They made sending my Mom a gift from overseas so easy. From the start of choosing what we wanted and to what value to the end product their help and expertise were phenomenal Absolute value for money and the most beautiful box and the ribbon was stunning. Karen of Yabulela Gift Hampers has been fantastic in helping us send a hamper to a prize winner. We are in Belgium, but the whole process was very easy, and the communication was fantastic. Karen was amazing – she answered emails and queries at all hours of the day and made up a beautiful box of goodies that was tailored to my request!
